Mathematical & Algorithmic Methodology
At AshToolbox, we maintain absolute algorithmic transparency. This dossier documents the mathematical formulas, peer-reviewed public health guidelines, financial accounting standards, and unit conversion constants implemented across our software suite.
1. Financial Engineering & Valuation Models
1.1 Equated Monthly Installment (EMI) Formula
All home loan, mortgage, and automobile loan repayment schedules use the reducing-balance amortization formula recognized by central banks worldwide:
Variables: P = Loan Principal; r = Monthly interest rate (Annual Rate ÷ 12 ÷ 100); n = Total tenure in months (Years × 12). For zero-interest promotions (r = 0), E = P / n.
1.2 Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC)
Corporate hurdle rates and discount factors follow the standard CFA Institute corporate finance curriculum:
Where cost of equity Re is estimated via the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM): Re = Rf + β × ERP + Size Premium. Interest tax shield is computed via (1 - τ), reflecting corporate income tax deductibility of debt interest payments.
1.3 Two-Stage Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) Model
Intrinsic equity value per share is derived by discounting Unlevered Free Cash Flows (FCFF) across a 5-year explicit horizon plus Gordon Growth or Exit Multiple Terminal Value:
2. Health & Physiological Science Standards
2.1 Daily Fluid Hydration Model
Hydration recommendations are grounded in peer-reviewed dietary reference values:
- Baseline Hydration: 30 to 35 ml per kilogram of body weight (or 0.5 to 0.7 oz per pound), aligning with the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA Journal 2010; 8(3):1459).
- Physical Exertion Adjustment: +350 ml of fluid per 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise to account for transdermal sweat rates.
- Arid / Humid Climate Factor: +350 ml to +500 ml daily compensation for elevated insensible evaporation.
2.2 Body Mass Index (BMI) & Healthy Weight Ranges
Body Mass Index is computed using the World Health Organization (WHO) standard definition:
Classified into WHO clinical tiers: Underweight (< 18.5), Normal weight (18.5–24.9), Overweight (25.0–29.9), Obese Class I (30.0–34.9), Class II (35.0–39.9), Class III (≥ 40.0).
3. Scientific Unit Conversion Ratios
All 52 unit conversion pairs implemented in our Universal Conversion Suite use exact international physical definitions published by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST Special Publication 811) and the International System of Units (SI):
- Length (1 inch): Exactly 2.54 centimeters (defined by the 1959 International Yard and Pound Agreement).
- Weight (1 pound avoirdupois): Exactly 0.45359237 kilograms.
- Volume (1 US liquid gallon): Exactly 231 cubic inches = 3.785411784 liters.
- Temperature: T(°F) = T(°C) × 9/5 + 32; T(K) = T(°C) + 273.15.
- Digital Storage: Decimal (1 KB = 1,000 Bytes) and Binary (1 KiB = 1,024 Bytes) following IEC 80000-13 standard.
4. Client-Side Computational Integrity
Every calculation, matrix inversion, string comparison, and PDF rasterization is performed locally inside the user's browser sandbox:
- Zero Network Roundtrips: Inputs are never transmitted across the network, eliminating latency, server-side data breaches, and tracking.
- Floating-Point Precision: Financial calculations utilize IEEE 754 double-precision 64-bit floating point arithmetic, rounded to two decimal places (cents) at the final display layer using banker's rounding standards.
